While visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands you can take advantage of our reliable and professional taxi service throughout our sister islands. Turks and Caicos Islands taxi drivers are excellent tour guides, and can provide lot of useful information and tips about the islands to ensure that you are making the most of your vacation. You will be enlightened by their stories about the culture and heritage of our ‘Beautiful by Nature’ islands while you being driven to your destination.
Using a taxi service or community cab service might be an easier and a more economical approach for some visitors who prefer not to rent a car on vacation. Taxis and community cabs are not equipped with onboard meters and rides may vary in cost depending on the distance and are based per passenger.
Taxis are readily available at any airport in our sister islands and our main gateway, the Providenciales International Airport (PLS). Your hotel/resort or villa’s concierge can also make arrangements for taxi transfers at your request. If you decide to rent a car instead, bear in mind that the Turks and Caicos Islands is a British Overseas Territory and follows the United Kingdom’s system of driving on the left side of the road. All public service drivers in the Turks and Caicos Islands are required to be trained by the Tourist Board to ensure that the visitors receive excellent customer service and signature island hospitality.
